Hansa Brilliant Yellow 2GX 70-S is a more recrystallization-stable opaque Pigment Yellow 74. It is coloristically very close to the well-known Hansa Brilliant Yellow 2GX 70. Hansa Brilliant Yellow 2GX 70-S is recommended for use in decorative alkyd paints, pigment preparations and air-drying industrial paints. The improved recrystallization stability overcomes the well-known processing problems associated with this pigment class. Dispersions of Hansa Brilliant Yellow 2GX 70-S are color-stable and consistent in tinctorial strength. Fastness properties such as light and weathering fastness match those of Hansa Brilliant Yellow 2GX 70.
